Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!! I know that this is pretty late, but I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving. I had a good one too, but it was quite an adventure, isn't it always an adventure when you go to Mexico? hahaha....
Anyways, this year we went to Blaine's family and spent Thanksgiving there. Lot's of good food to eat! I love food! My dream job is to be a food critic, how wonderful would that be, but then I would be obese.
We were able to go to one of his family's ranch house (Stairs) and go exploring there. I was surprised at how beautiful that area was. I thought that Mexico was all desert, but it was so pretty there. Lot's of trees, like a forest. We found some pottery and a corn grinder from old indian ruins. That was really cool... we stole them and brought them to our house, so hopefully we don't get bad luck. :) Then there was a huge snow storm on Saturday and at night the lights and water went out till Sunday afternoon, so that was pretty exciting. aaahh... good memories, good memories. hahaha.... Other than that, we all had a good time and overall it was a great Thanksgiving.

Blaine, Derryl (Blaine's brother) and I hiked up this mountain. It doesn't look too big in this picture. Hiking this mountain was pretty scary because there were no trails and I think Derryl led us the wrong way. Anyways, some parts felt like we were rock climbing this mountain.

Emi playing with her great Grandpa. This was the first time that they met.
Another picture of Emi doing one of her tricks. We say "Kawaii nee" in Japanese and in English it means, "I'm cute" and so when we say this, she always tilts her head and makes like she's pretty. She's such a vain little girl. :)

To Tucson, then Mexico, then Tucson, and then to Mexico Again...
This past weekend we decided to go to Tucson to spend a night there, so that we could go to Mexico to turn in papers for Blaine's truck to get ready for our trip to go back to Mexico for Thanksgiving. Needless to say, it was a disaster... We crossed the border in Nogales and right when we crossed the border into Mexico, it was a zoo. It's interesting to see what a border can do to a country. So we were trying to find the place to turn in our papers for the truck, but couldn't find it. Then the line coming back to the USA was crazy long, so we decided to come back. Then headed back to Tucson to spend the day there. Emi had a terrible night there and couldn't sleep at all; as a result, when she can't sleep, then I can't sleep, but Blaine was passed out. So of course, I was cranky from not sleeping, so we fought and fought on what we wanted to do and how stupid the Mexican government was... Anyways to make a long story short, we decided to go back to Mexico one more time and try to turn in and get papers on his truck and we finally were able to accomplish one of the two.
Well, it probably wasn't the best of all trips, but we were able to accomplish the one thing that we had planned to do.
Here are some pics of the trip:
Emi and I in Mexico waiting for Blaine to turn in his papers for his truck.
Blaine and Emi singing in the car.
Both of them giving me stink eye and the "Don't bother me" look while I was taking a picture of them. hahah...
and finally... Smiling Emi!
