Memorial Day Weekend Part I

I thought I better post this before it gets too late. For the Memorial Day Weekend, we decided to head down to Mexico to visit Blaine's family. Blaine had a half day last Thursday, so we decided to spend the night in Deming, New Mexico. But on our way there, we saw all these billboards about "THE THING?". We saw this place on a program called, "Arizona Highways", so we decided to check it out. I won't ruin your suspense and tell you what's inside, but it was kind of interesting and creepy, more creepy that I didn't really want to take a picture. (weird, huh?) But, I guess you'll have to see it for yourself. :) Blaine thought that it was a waste of time, but at least we can say that we've been there, right?

Our Backyard is FINALLY Done

Our backyard is FINALLY Done!!! Yeah!!! It was done last week, and we have been enjoying it so much; as a result, I haven't been posting that much on our blog. Thank you, thank you so much to AZ Splashpad for building our splashpad. We love it. If anyone has any interest, check them out at http://www.azsplashpads.com/. It has been so much fun to go outside and cool off from the insanely hot weather here in Arizona. I am so happy to wake up and go out in my backyard and not have to look at dirt anymore. Also, Thank you so much to Elwess Landscaping for landscaping our yard. Blaine said that it was so nice to come home and have everything done and not have to do anything. He's so lazy... :) Just kidding... Also, Thank you to Degan Construction for the concrete. The concrete adds so much value to our back yard. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
Here's some pictures before and after of our backyard.

Dirty dirty dirt. I hate dirt.

Now, our little desert oasis. ;)

Blaine with Emi. (Don't look at our farmer tan and fat) We just put Emi in a swim diaper and let her go naked. She loves it and wants us to hold her hand while we go to each jet.

Me and our little monkey girl, for some reason, she looks like a monkey in this picture.

Finally a different view of our backyard. If anyone wants to play, just give me a call! Again, thanks to everyone for making my dream come true.

What a Week... and it's not even done with YET

This week has got to be one of the most stressful week I have had in a long time. First, let us start off with Blaine. Blaine has finals this week, so of course he's super stressed, plus he works this crazy job as well. So on Tuesday, he was driving home and got a phone call from work and had to turn around to get back to work, so he pulled into some warehouse to turn around. As he was doing that and talking on the phone, he didn't see the tire gutter and as a result, blew out all his tires, not 1 or 2, but ALL 4. I felt bad for him because I knew that he was stressed out and apparently, this happens quite often at this warehouse, but since it was closing time, there were a lot of people leaving and giving him a hard time. So, I decided not to blow up like I would usually do because he probably already had his punishment.
Then yesterday, I had to go to Fry's to get some groceries which were long overdue because my work has been crazy busy lately; therefore, I had a lot of things on my mind. I got out of the car and got Emi out of her car seat and then shut the door, then realized that I had locked myself out of the car. The bad thing about this was that Blaine was taking a final and he shuts off his phone, plus I didn't want to bother him. So, I didn't panic, went inside and figured that I would call a Taxi. I called the Taxi, but they wouldn't give me a ride because I didn't have cash (my bag was locked in the car)... soo annoying, had to fight with them to make an exception, but still wouldn't give me a ride. Then I called the locksmith, I seriously called every locksmith in Arizona and no one would pick up. So, I was basically stranded in the grocery store and I started to panic a little bit. Then as I was starting to feel this way, I saw Bro. ad Sis. Bullard. I was SO happy and asked them if I could just get a ride home. I just started crying tears of happiness and frustration with myself. I had never felt so helpless before.
I just wanted to express my gratitude Bro. and Sis. Bullard and the church. I'm so thankful for the church not only for the gospel but also the friendship and comraderie we have with everyone. It's a reassurance that wherever you go, you will never be alone and will always have the church and great people in it. I would also like thank Fry's for giving a 10% discount on the first Wednesday of every month to all people over 55, which I found out from Bro. Bullard on our ride home, that's why they were there. :)

Through all this, Emi didn't even notice anything. Ooh, it is great to be a kid.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Happy Birthday Emi - Big #1

Today is Emi-chan's 1st Birthday!!!

It's crazy to think that she's already one. Time really does fly by so fast. It's amazing to see how much she has grown from the time that she was born till now and all the little things that she does. We are so proud of her and so very lucky to have her in our lives. We love you, Emi-chan!!!

Today we just kept it really simple because Blaine has a final today. It is such a blessing that Blaine could stay home and take his final. A BIG thanks to that professor, he made one wife very happy! We had cake and sang Happy Birthday. We are going to try to have her party later in the month, which should give us plenty of time to finish our backyard... hopefully... :)

Here's a little picture montage of our little girl.
