Ok, ok, I know I just went back to Tennessee, but I went back again for another three weeks. I figured that it would be the last time that I would get to travel on the airplane again for a while, since I'm pregnant and then Emi turns 2 soon, so then I'll have to pay for her ticket. Also Blaine was busy with finals and projects that he was never home, so I decided to go home and get spoiled.
Anyways, I'm back in AZ and I've been pretty lazy with blogging. What's new, right? Hahaha... but since I'm back home, I'll probably be better.
We had a great time there and it was nice having my family help out with Emi. I'm pretty sure that I overstayed our welcome and they were probably happy to see us go and get back to their normal quiet life. :) I gained an unheard of amount of weight the time I was there. It's out of control and I don't even want to look at the scale anymore.
The first week we were there, it snowed a lot, so we just mostly stayed indoors and rested. I love the feeling of being trapped in your warm cozy house with plenty of food. I think that is the best feeling of all.
Here's Emi and Auntie Rika baking cookies. My sister was so good with her and let her touch and stir anything. I'm a little anal, so I don't let her do those kind of things, but she had so much fun cooking and all she wanted to do was help cook all the time.
Then the next week we went up to the Smoky Mountains to a town called Gatlinburg. It's kind of like Park City, UT, but more family friendly because they have more attractions there like Ripley's Believe It or Not. They also have a Ripley's Aquarium where we went. The last time I was there was when Blaine and I were not married, so it's been a while since we last came.
My Dad, Emi, me, and my Mom in Gatlinburg, TN.
My sister and Emi at the aquarium. And, she's also IN the aquarium.
Basically, we just relaxed at home and I worked, ate a lot, and got fat. Here's more pictures of the family.
My Mom teaching Emi how to do the peace sign and pose in pictures.
Emi pushing her best friend, Piko. After seeing her with their dog for three weeks, made me want to get a dog. Then I start to think about the fact that I'm going to have another baby and how much work a dog takes, and I quickly change my mind.
Emi and her fascination with shoes. Yes, she is a girl. Always going into everyone's closet to find shoes and then try them on.
Thanks again for everything Mom and Dad. Can't wait to see all of you guys in May! Love ya!
