Girl's Day

Don't you love Japan and how they celebrate Girl's Day? Just another reason to have cake and get treats for being a girl. So of course we have to pass the tradition down to our family and celebrate this wonderful holiday. I'm a little late on my blog posting because Girl's day is on March 3rd. oh well...

My girl forcing a smile. As you can see, she got into the cream.

He got in the cream too.

The funny kids.

Emi enjoying her yummy cake. We love this girl.

Happy Girl's Day! Thanks for all the cards, gifts, and wishes!

Ragnar Relay 2010

So... I did something a little crazy called the Ragnar Relay. It's a 204 mile relay run from Prescott to Mesa, AZ. All I can say is that it was an intense two day experience. (Feb 26 and 27) Looking back I'm proud that I accomplished it and am thankful that I don't have to train for this again! Blaine's thankful for that too! I have a bunch of thank you's... (my Oscar speech)... First and foremost, I would like to thank... Just kidding... But I do want to thank my husband for getting me through all the training. I SO wanted to quit many times, but he kept pushing me on. Also my mother-in-law for taking care of the kids while I was away. Thank you for taking care of my little monsters. I appreciate it so much and couldn't have done it without you!

Here's some pictures of the race:

Cindy and I looking so fresh and so clean at the start of the race. I couldn't have done this without you!!! You're the best and my mental lifesaver!

This kid was so funny. He was our goofball for the team. It was nice to have him especially at the end of race when we were so so tired. Look at the snow! Ok, I know that it's not that much, but I live in Arizona.

Our team captains: Myles and Anne-Lis, Thanks for putting it together!

Me looking gross and running.

Steve and Cindy

The wonderful porta-potties. Sick!

Now this is what I call the Ragnar Spirit! Eric from our team switched socks with a random person on the SECOND day. Now if it was the first day, then it would be ok, but after you ran two legs and your all sweaty and gross... NO WAY! But, seriously everyone is just so happy.

Linda and I waiting to run our 3rd and last leg. The race was cancelled for a little moment because someone was hit and killed while assisting their runner; as a result, only some of us got to run our third leg. It was definitely my shortest and hardest leg, but I'm grateful that I got to run and get the full Ragnar experience.

Everyone on our team! Thank you to everyone for this amazing and intense experience!
