YW Fundraiser Pictures

This past week we had our YW Photography Fundraiser to raise money for YW Camp. I wasn't planning on having pictures taken because I thought I would be really busy, but we had some extra time, so I gathered Blaine, Emi and Brenden quickly. I'm glad we took them because I feel like these kids are changing all the time.

Here are a couple of my favorites.

Emi's not really smiling, but I love how she's trying to protect her brother from falling off the bench. On the other hand, Mom was like, "Let him fall, it's ok." I'll sacrifice my son for a good picture. :) Just kidding...


I told Shawna (our photographer) to take some pictures of Brenden so that I could use it as his one year old pictures. He's 10 1/2 months, but he won't change that much right? Hopefully...

Easter 2010 Part 2

This year we were planning on going out of town, but it didn't work out, so I felt like I kind of put this one together at the last minute. It was great to relax and enjoy all the talks on General Conference. I really enjoyed having General Conference on Easter. It emphasized to me the true meaning of Easter so, it was nice not to go overboard with the whole commercial Easter.

Basically all we did was a little Easter egg hunt at our home. Emi was so excited to decorate eggs. She kept talking about it the whole week and reminding me not to forget. I thought I could bypass this one on her because I hate eating all the eggs, but it didn't work out.


Here she is dying the eggs oh so carefully. I was afraid, but she did good.

And Emi's off to find eggs at our Easter hunt. I've got to say, when there's no competition, then it's really not that fun. It's fun to see all the kids running to get the eggs. Hopefully next year Brenden will be able to give her some competition.


Then we had an Easter feast and relaxed the rest of the day. Overall, it was a success! Happy Easter!

Laveen Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Happy Easter!!!

Yesterday we went to the Laveen Easter Egg Hunt at the Betty Fairfax H.S. it was definitely worth coming this year because Emi actually understood the whole getting the Easter eggs and everything. The things we do for our kids. I remember taking Emi when she was Brenden's age to her first Easter egg hunt. I think we were a little crazy because she didn't understand anything but we were excited since she was our first.

They had a bunch of little arts and craft stations, so here's Emi showing off all the fun things that she made: bunny ears and an easter necklace.

I consider this a pretty successful picture even though Brenden is looking the other way. Reason why? EMI IS NOT CRYING! She's totally ignoring the bunny, but she's not crying! Hallelujah!!!


Here's Sydney and Emi on the hunt for those Easter eggs. They were so fast, that it was hard to take a picture of them. This is the best that I could get.

The weather was perfect and we had a good time. What more can we ask for? We will be there next year!!!
