Yes, I'm an Official Mother now, because this past Saturday we purchased a.... minivan! Yes, we got a white Honda Odyssey EX-L. I thought I wasn't going to get a minivan, but as I was doing my research on the car I wanted, I came to the decision that this car is really convenient for families with little kids because it's built for families. I think the power sliding doors sold me. Being pregnant and having to put Emi in a car seat in my Saturn was not fun. But, I miss my Saturn because it was a part of me for so long. That was the car I had when I went to BYU, so it's like saying goodbye to a chapter in my life. I'm totally being retarded and Blaine still can't believe that I miss that stupid car. But, it was so good to me and I feel bad that I just left it at the dealership. Oh well... I'm happy with my purchase and it's way more comfortable now traveling. So, if you need a ride, just let me know, cuz I only have one child in a minivan. hahaha...

woohoo! Congrats on your new wheels! How nice would it have been to have to dual auto opening side doors when my kids were babies! Good for you - good choice!
Welcome to the minivan clan. :) I miss my old cars too, but I love the van! Even Jeff loves the van - so much more space and the auto doors are great when you have your hands full of groceries, holding Emi and pregnant. Push a button and the door is open - beautiful! :)Enjoy!
I know you did cross over to the mini van side, but I am glad since I am going to take you up on driving me and my crazy one around, J/K. But I love everything about your new van, the leather seats and extra storage will make it nice. I am still not convinced that a mini van is for me, but we'll see when it is crunch time I guess.
I know just how you feel about your Saturn. I still miss Turbo (my car at school). Ahhh. I also am there with you on the not liking to bend over to put children in the car. We're looking into a new rig ourselves. Can we really be at that stage in our lives already??????
Hey, good for you! I'm sorry you miss your old car, but you'll love the minivan, especially when Baby #2 arrives. We love our Odyssey - good choice!
I love the new van! I think as a mom you appreciate the doors and how low it is to the ground is so much nicer than a SUV for families with small kids! HOpe you guys are doing good.
Yes, welcome to the minivan club, you'll feel more welcome at church in the parking lot each Sunday!
Its just nice to have a new car and specially all the extra space. Now you can have 4 more kids!!! :)
Oh I remember that Saturn!! It brings back memories of our BYU days! But that fancy minivan is a good replacement. Yes, I think somehow we will manage with two kids...because like you said, everyone has two kids right? I'll let you know how it goes...it is coming right up. Oh and I don't remember that part you were talking about on American Idol! I remember the blind guy, but I don't remember Simon doing that...I want to see it now, it sounds so funny!
oh boy aika! you've made it now!!!fancy fancy. i just hope it has a good sound system for you to blast Rick Astley...... ;) miss you!
So you buckled down and got you a "mom" van. I'm so proud of you. FOr this moment. heee...heee...I joined the mini van club a few years back...but didn't get the nicer mini van until 2 years ago. I have the Honda Odyssey (sp?) as well, and girl let me tell you...I don't even look back. All those ladies thinkin they look all nice in their escalade...well, they surely don't have the automatic doors like I do, and the CARGO space! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cargo space and the auto doors. You will love it especially when you have more kids. Sure, I thought I'd be cool and drive an SUV, but I'm keepin' it real with my van and lovin' it...plus, better gas mileage, too! WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!!
they had a really good deal on the d60's at sams club!

Ha ha! I always feel bad selling cars. I know exactly what you mean. And I know one day I'll cross over to the dark side of mini vans.
