Happy Belated Girl's Day

In Japan, they celebrate Girl's Day on March 3rd of every year. This year we were a little late and celebrated on a Friday because I was lazy. Anyways, usually I always buy a cake from a japanese bakery, but again, I was lazy and didn't want to drive all the way to Tempe to go get it, so I decided to make it myself for the first time. I don't know what I was thinking, but I guess I felt a little ambitious. I was pretty surprised at how it turned out. The taste was good, but maybe the presentation could have been better. But, it was late and I was REALLY hungry (remember pregnant), so I kind of slapped it together.

But here's some pictures...

Here are the girls in the family. I look a little drunk, but wanted to show you a little side shot of Junior.

Emi and her cake. We had to sing Happy Birthday, so she could pretend to blow out candles. She was in heaven...

AND finally the cake. Happy Girl's Day!!!

That cake was DELICIOUS, it makes my mouth salivate just thinking about it. You look so good pregnant, I am so jealous! I do need to stop being friends with you though or I am going to look pregnant without actually having a baby in there, with all the food you give me. Anyway I love that you celebrate girls day, and have such a cute girl to share it with. That is so fun!
